Default HPI RS4 Pro

After browsing through this section last week I was inspired to hit the basement and dig out my 10 year old RS4 Pro, the original RS4 Pro... All my batteries have leaked out, my speed control caught fire the last time I used the car and it appears that all the electronics for these cars on the market these days are a huge improvement over what I remember using.

Is it worth rebuilding this car, which I can't find parts for anymore, or would it be worth my time to pick up a whole new chassis?

It's hard to get parts for older cars and the newer stuff is better. In addition, it seems like electrics are going towards brushless motors now.

If you need parts for that car I have a friend who has alot of hpi parts that he would seel cheap. I would need the part numbers to see what he has in stock. if you are interested inget the car rolling again. Let me know something. Later David

I guess it depends on what you're looking to do with the car; if you're looking for something to mess around with, I'd determine what parts you'll need to get the car going again. It sounds like you're going to need new electronics including batteries and ESC. Just do some math and you should be able to figure it out.
