Yep, that's the GECIS call center. I'm quite familiar with it. A few of us looked up the names used in that clip in the global address list and they are actual people at GE.

That video made the rounds at work. Most of us had no concept what the call center looked like even though we've worked with them for 5 or 6 years now. I'd say that 95% of my work with India is via IM.
The most frustrating thing is explaining something to one of the India associates and then asking them if they understand what I just said. They will almost always say "yes". Then, after a few days or so, they end up asking me something about what I already explained. I've been told that it's a cultural thing that they don't like to appear as though they don't understand so they'll always say they do.
Buy dot com uses them. Odered something ,they charged my card, they never shipped. Called them up, guy from India answers with a "tude" told me his name was "Eric" I said Apu cut the crap and tell me your real name. I told him my brothers name is Eric and I would bet on his mother life he wasn't of Nordic origin. He stuck with his story his name was "Eric". I asked him if he could understand me because
I was enjoying a big juicy hamburger. He didn't think that was very funny. I did.
You guys ever use a drive thru were the person taking the order is from a call center in W. Virginia ? I was up north a few days ago and the person who took my order was in a call center. The person who handed my food told me that just started using the call center because it was cheaper to hire these folks, WTF ?

Its sad, but alot of companies are moving their call centers to India.
There was a problem a few months ago with some company that has a call center in India, and the employees were selling client information, identity theft.

Besides cell centers in India, I hate those web designers/developers aka rent-a-coders from India who are undercutting industry prices. Everyday we get, "Why should we pay you $10,000 to design/develop/market our ecommerce website when we can hire an Indian to do the same work for $75."
