I may have overreved my engine!

Ya, just like how the VTEC switchover is not adjustable on an F20C, it is impossible to alter the OE parameters.
Dan, you really do try too hard.

Hey if you have the right to post stupid shit. I have the right to post stupid rebuttals. That's the internet.

I think they also installed hardened gears in my transmission, but I'd have to check the repair order to be certain. Do you think any of that could be the cause of the problem?

Great advice, xviper. Anything in particular you can recommend? I tried pulling some DTCs with my scanner, but the internal power supply seems to have discharged its load prematurely. I can't find the cigarette lighter adapter so will have to wait til I can order a replacement. Is there any place where I can have some codes pulled for free?
BTW, when I checked the transmission fluid, it was pinkish and very slimy. When I stuck my finger in the fill hole, the pink fluid just oozed out all over the body. Is this normal or an I just being too nervous?

You think that's bad. I just traded in my Civic type R last friday for my S2K. So this Saturday I'm going to pick up my street wing and I see this guy coming up on my ass in a Gallardo. I downshifted and simply walked the putz..., he was about 9 car lengths behind by 160. (Does anyone know what those do in the quarter?)Anyways, we were in the city and a toll booth was coming up so I went to slow down and accidentally shifted into first. Could this have done any damage do you think? It was weird, but right after that the car started to run shitty. Well, I was pissed off and went to go home and I came into a curve to fast. I immediately lifted off the throttle, but the back slid out and I smacked into the curb and afterwards my wheels weren't straight anymore. I had to have it towed into the dealer at this point, and now the service manager just called and said someone hit it with a forklift. Do you guys think I can blame the over rev and curb smack on the forklift? The car was Honda Certified so shouldn't they cover everything? The manager is saying he'll only be responsible for stabbing it with the forklift and I'm ticked. Honda service sucks!
