If I were to buy you a cheap digital camera, would you take pictures of your LS6 / S2000 for us? Is there even a real address I could mail the camera to?

Surely if you've swapped an LS6 into an S2000 you would have some knowledge of how to deal with a possible overrev?

Usually if you just get a tub of butter, melt it in the microwave a bit, and then pour it into your engine, you should be fine.

I learned this from a couple of other S2000 owners that installed LS6's in their cars recently. One of them was trying to rev it up to 6.5k, you know, to show me whats up. Spun a bearing. Put some butter in there, good as new.

True story.

Mine turns 7000 all day long, dynos 600+ on a 175shot, and hasn't flattened any bearings, fried any rings, or blown any head gaskets.

I got revved on by an '04 S2000. He told me I should trade in my 2.0 for a 2.2, because it has more torque. At 70 I grabbed 3rd, hammered it, and spun 'em halfway through 4th. Put a few buslengths on that torquey '04 S2000.

True story.

Any stock S2000 is pretty anemic in a straight line, regardless of model year. I would hope you'd have put football-field lengths on an '04 with your LS6 S2000, with 600 WHP, and a 175+ HP shot of nitrous. Off the bottle, too.

My Ferrari 360 Modena is faster than my S2000 anyway. The S2000 is the grocery-getter.

And LS1/LS6 doesn't spin bearings at 6500rpm. Hence, my post.

And last I checked, the F20C couldn't take 800hp on the stock bottom end. Wait, can an F20C even make 800hp period?

This thread has gone to shit. ( koala) It was started as a joke, but some of us couldn't play nice and take it for what it is: A joke.
