I've got over 3 gig of 70-80's music as mp3's! Plus another 2-3 gig on cd's in the closet!

Made a bunch of those 80's mixture cd's for in the car.

Totalling out at 17.5 gig of mp3's here! I keep asking myself... "Why"?

RT's got all his radios tuned to the Seattle 80's station, and broken off the tuning knobs!

I've got a ton of 80's stuff on CDs, too... It's classic!

I'm an old fart when it comes to rock and roll. Anything post-Eagles is crap, for the most part, IMO. Let's see, I wore diapers in the 40s, so I guess the 60s/early 70s would be my classic period. Flock of Seagulls, my ass!

I was born in '69 and consider the 80's to be the best decade for music.
Those fashions of big hair is a scary thought though

To me, each decade had its memorable music. I was born in the early 50s and can appreciate the music of the 30s & 40s, a lot of big band sound. The 50s was the emergence of rock and roll with the do wop groups, Elvis, Little Richard and (in my opinion) the King Chuck Berry. The 60 with its British invasion (loved ever minute of the 60s). The 70s with Led Zep stadium rock shows and new wave, punk and of course disco (fought like hell with those people). The 80s had the techno rock and new wave as well and the beginnings of crap (I mean rap) music. To me that's where good music ended. MTV made everyone listen to rap and boy bands since it has so much influence on todays kids. I am still waiting for the return of good old rock and roll. Maybe this new movie "Rock Star" can give it a push back into the mainstream.
