I need some good, easy, kinda healthy recipes
I just moved into a new house with 5 other guys. I have been here for almost two weeks and we have gotten take out every night so far- no one cooks. I can't keep living off of chipotle, Jimmy Johns, and starbucks forever, so I need some good recipes. Here are my requirements:
-easy (preferrably one-pot dishes)
-relatively healthy (doesnt have to be diet food- just not drowned in grease)
-keeps well in fridge/freezer
The reason I am asking here is because I know there are a lot of people here from different regions and of different ethnicities, so I want to get some interesting recipes.

Gas grill???? My favorites are........
"No Name steak" Salmon fillets.
Buffalo burger patties
or......
Buy a package of Walleye fillets..........spray a piece of tin foil with Pam or olive oil spray.........add fillets skin down.......sprinkle with cajun seasoning and a little lemon zest.........grill to desired taste.
Beer can chicken. Season a whole chicken with cajun spice or lawry's, open a can of beer and drink about a third. Put beer can in center of grill. Place chicken cavity over beer can so chicken sits upright and it will cook slowly with beer adding slight flavor and adding moisture. Throw some corn on the cob on the grill or baking potatoes.
Get fresh sushi quality Ahi Tuna steaks from a premium grocery or fish market. Grill, cover with a heated thick terriaki glaze and top with pickled ginger and chopped chives or scallions. Add steamed veggies and a salad with a asian dressing and your dates will think you can really cook. Goes excellent with a 2001 Pavillion cabernet if you can find it.
The gas grill is the bachelors friend.
Or my favorite college meal.....Rice-a-Roni. One pot, a zillion different flavors and a buck a meal. I ate it about 4 times a week.

george foreman grill something that used to walk the earth.
butter the OUTSIDE of two pieces of bread and put a slice of sharp cheddar or american cheese on the inside. grill it and check it after a minute or two.
3 minutes to a really yummy afternoon snack. I recommend good ol apple juice to wash it down.
i don't know about your lifestyle, but if you're a busy person, you're better off sticking to take-outs. take-outs do not necessarily have to be unhealthy. it all depends on the restaurant you order from. i don't know exactly where you live, but i'm sure you have a bunch of restaurants to choose from. create variety in your meals by trying different restaurants. personally, i find it too time consuming to buy food, prepare it, cook it, eat it, and clean up afterwards. the only time i cook is when i have a huge gathering of people.
