I guess it depends on how you look at it. I was looking at it as more of a personal mini computer where you can access the internet where ever you need it.

Andre
Andre - that's what an iPhone is. If you want a personal mini computer with a constant Internet connection, you get the iPhone. If you want the same personal mini computer but with wifi connectivity only in order to save money, you the iPod Touch.

I say you want an iPod Touch with a constant Internet connection - I'm just saying Apple already makes that product, and it's called the iPhone.

I understand you... lol... I guess I'm just venting in a way since it doesn't have constant internet connection...

It has other cool features though that I'm learning about.

Oh... so I was just playing with a co-workers Blackberry Storm and it has TONS of bugs still. He even admits that they have a lot of work to do to make it work nicely. He has they will be able to get it fairly close to the I-Phone but it will just take some time.

So you would rather pay $60/month (what pretty much every cellphone company charges for unlimited data plans without a phone) for internet for your ipod touch and also have to carry a separate cellphone around instead of just getting an iphone that barely costs more with contract than an ipod touch?

I actually didn't know how much it would be to have internet access. I was just curious to know if it was possible. But to answer your question, I wouldn't mind having the Touch with internet and a seperate phone cause I know the trouble that my friend goes through with his I-Phone and ATT. Too many dropped calls and dead zones.

Dead zones and dropped calls translate to dead zones and dropped connections for data too.

They use the same tower; if you're on a call, you can't browse the internet simultaneously.

Actually you can do both on 3g. I can talk on my bluetooth headset with my iphone 3g while browsing the web. EDGE doesn't let you do that though.

That makes sense. All I know is I tried it once and it didn't work. I guess I was in 3G mode. For the record, I don't have an iPhone. I have a Tilt.
