I hate Palm phones. They are a pain in the ass to use and I hate pairing them to the Bluetooth in my customers cars.

[QUOTE=whiteflash,Sep 29 2010, 02:06 PM] I almost semi-detest the way Apple does business, pricing, and itunes.

Yeah I jumped off the palm bandwagon a few yrs back (last palm device was a treo 680) and haven't looked back. Palm is a sinking ship IMO.

The PalmPre is actually a pretty nice phone. its a shame you passed on at least checking it out.

That said the Androids have a much larger app market.

Palm Pre user here.
Hardware is lacking out of the box for sure.

I've got mine overclocked from 500Mhz to 1.2Ghz and it makes a world of difference.

Add in easy OS patching/hacking through Preware and you get a tremendous amount of power to make the system look/act exactly how you want.

I think Android feels clunky after using WebOS.

It's unfortunate that it takes root access and custom ROM to get Android devices to really shine.. don't know why manufacturers can't deliver a phone that performs the same. There is nothing slow, sluggish, or choppy about my Droid now, but that certainly wasn't the case from the get go. But the customization options are unmatched, and it's by far my fav mobileOS. Compare say an LG Ally to my Droid and you literally wouldn't think it's the same os.. such a massive difference.
