I can't eat things like steak anymore. The texture is just too like a muscle. (which it is of course) I guess I've just help butcher too many animals and chewing on it grosses me out. I still eat meat, just not cetain types.

It's difficult because it's not human.

Our bodies are designed to eat and digest meat. Just practice moderation and you'll be fine for the most part. Course your reasoning seems to be more for religious belief than health.

Beef, it's whats for dinner.
Pork, the other white meat

Baby.....the other, other white meat! [/line from Austin Powers 2]

For humans to produce the enzymes to aid in the digestion of meats is evidence alone that we CAN eat meats....doesn't mean we HAVE to eat meats.

I know for a fact that those of us that have never eaten meats before in our lives, or quit eating very early in life, have a VERY hard time digesting meat products. Some even get extremely sick after they've unknowingly eaten some meat.

Ex. my mom was slipped a peperoni slice on her pizza....she has never....I mean never even had any kind of meat, poultry, or seafood in her mouth (hell, she's never eaten an egg before!). Not knowing that she ate it, her body would not accept it, and she got violently ill for close to 1 whole week. The sickeness was deduced to be caused by the peperoni....no one to this day has tried slipping her something like that again

Just be careful when going veggie. Your body can't naturally produce some essential amino acids. Your body can build them though given the right ingredients. The easiest way to get these amino acids or building blocks is through meat. If you give up meat you need to make sure that you get the building blocks for your body to make these amino acids. I think that is why tofu and lentils are big in a veggie diet.

In my view vegeterianism is fine because science is capable of making everything we need in supplements.

Veganism on the other hand is a complete joke. It is extremely unhealthy and results in your brain literally shrinking as your body breaks down tissues to try to get the required amino acids.

It'really sad when you see vegans who bring up their children live their so called healthy lifestyle, but the children fail to develop mentally and physically due to poor nutrition.

Yes you've probably guessed it I love my meat.
Whenever I'm driving through the countryside I even begin to drool whenever I see a cow.
