Default I've been advised to lie.

I'll never understand women.

Here's the deal. After a few months of no serious dating I get set up with two quality girls in a manner of two weeks. I set up a blind date with girl A on Friday 10/5 and girl B on Friday 10/12. I had the blind date with girl A on 10/5 and it went good enough that I took her out again on 10/6. That went well enough that she invited me to a joint Birthday party that was being thrown for her and a few of her friends on 10/13.

In the mean time I had to cancel my blind date with girl B on 10/12 because a friend of mine got tickets to game 5 of the Yankees v. Oakland and he decided to fly in from Florida on 10/12 and he needed me to pick him up from the airport and had to crash at my house. Girl B and I rescheduled the 10/12 date for 10/19.

Now I went to the party with Girl A on 10/13 and things are still looking good there, but I found out at the party that her actual birthday is 10/19.

Now here is the dilemma. What do I tell Girl A about my plans for 10/19 with girl B? The question hasn't come up yet but I know that the inevitable "What are you doing this weekend?" is going to come from Girl A soon.

I've asked a few girls I know and to my surprise they've told me that I should lie about my plans for Friday and under no circumstances should I tell Girl A that I am going on a date with Girl B.

Any advice on how I should play this?

I'd say for this particular situation, a little "white lie" wouldn't hurt you.

However it comes with a major caveat ... don't make a habit of lying to that one girl if you do end up lying to her this one time. I'm sure there will be anothe occasion in your near future when you have to make this decision again. You should just decide on A GIRL sometime soon. I am an avid gambler and I know when I'm holding "too many cards" at one time. That's my advice. Besides, if you're having so much fun with one girl, why do you need the other? You risk losing both if you don't play your cards right. Be careful!

yeah lie.....lie like you've never lied before....be general and vague so she can't catch you slipping on details but tell them you had plans with a good friend and can't break them.

I wouldn't lie to Girl A. I would do either of the following two things...

- Reschedule with Gril B for a time that allows you to go to the b-day party, but don't lie to Girl A about it or anything else for that matter...

- Rethink the concept of Gril B altogether...

Right now is important as you are learning about one another and if she sees a flaw in your character, you will lose many points, if not the girl altogether. If things are going well enough with Gril A, why Girl B?

Yeah, get one of those George Forman lean mean whatever the hell it fights cooking thing. SORRY I COULD NOT RESIST!!!!!!!!!

Don't lie, every person involved finds out in the end. If things are going great with the 1st girl, keep it going. You never know about the 2nd lady, but you are risking tossing something that appears optimistic away for an unknown. If you are happy right now with the 1st lady, don't risk it. It's seems a horrible thing to start of a relationship with a lie. Whether it was a small one or not, the concept can be devistating to some/most (maybe even the 1st lady)

Tell Girl A that the S2K has to go into the shop that day, and because you don't trust the mechanics, you will have to wait there all day until your baby is all fixed.

If she believes you, go out with Girl B and you'll have all day to check her out.

If Girl A understands and offers to bring you lunch, come see you at the repair shop for a little while, or anything of the nature...forget about Girl B and continue "evaluating" Girl A.

If Girl A asks you if it's alright that she wait with you all day....propose to her.

This scenario is the perfect test to show you how understanding your future woman will be with your hobbies/passions.

Ok, first let me say that no matter what Manny says, I don't like lying and I'm not good at it.

Here's some more info.

Girl A was a true blind date and I lucked out with her, she's a very attractive girl. Girl B, I saw at a wedding a few weeks ago and she is a very attractive Red Head, and I have a thing for Red Heads.

If I attempt to reschedule girl B then I will surley lose any chance I had with her. ( Friday is my only open day this week, Fall colors tour will take up my enitre Saturday.)

True, things are going well with girl A but it is all in the very early stages. (should be read as no play what so ever yet ) Keep in mind we've only had 1 real date so far.

I talked to another girl in the office and she reiterated that I should lie, anything else will hurt girl A.

I don't think I have a good play here.

Thanks for the advice so far.

It doesn't matter what you do. There is no way to tell which way will work out better. It is a total crap shoot.

Here's what's important though: Make sure you plan to spend 5 minutes in front of the Fall Colors dinner microphone telling all 150 of us what happened!
