I've been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome???
Were any thyroid tests performed?
Sounds like you've done plenty of research. Found another site that may be of some help.

Hope you improve soon. Was there any indication of SAD (seasonal affective disorder)? There's usually alot of information around this time of year on this affliction. A recent study on animals and hibernation was thought to provide some answers as to why some people suffer this in the winter months. Had to do with the body producing above average amounts of melatonin.

Hmm Well I'm not typically depressed, not to say I couldn't use some uppers now and then
The sleep studies are facinating, I'm defiantly going to look into it tommorow.
And Pueo, thanks for the link.. it seems the more I read about it, the more it seems like this is it. It's not related to weather, as this has been going on for maybe 8 months now. Also, good call on the thyroid, my sister has this problem, and this was my first thought, but all checked out.
The good news is (unless I have severe Sleep Apnea ) that it most likely won't kill me
Thanks everyone for your help, and also to the other gentleman that PM'D me, though I wished I read that in the morning

you might also try looking at buying a new bed.
I've had a waterbed for about 4 years now, and at first it was good to sleep on, but made my back sore quickly. I've put of buying a new bed because, I procrastinate and don't think it's the problem. I almost have the same thing you have...don't generally feel too depressed, but tired nonetheless. My dad is a sleep study technician and suggested buying a soft bed (as opposed to a firm bed).
I tried out several beds at my local RCWilley and fell in love with a Simmons Beautyrest 2000 Troon silk pillowtop (say that quickly 5 times!)
I'd suggest looking into a new bed along with the additional help above

Mike, definitely look into a sleep study. My ex was constantly tired, snored something awful. As a result, we were both pretty sleep deprived! He had the sleep study, and they found out that while he slept, he would stop breathing an average of 7 times an hour!
As a result, he would wake up that many times to restart his breathing.
The end result was that they took out his tonsils and part of his top palate, including his uvula (that little thing that hangs down in the back of your throat). it helped a lot, but he still snored some when it was all over. They said that everything relaxed too much when he slept, allowing his throat to collapse.

Mike - I can offer no medical advise or insights, sorry. I can offer you my sympathy and strongest wishes for a speedy recovery. Good luck with this, you will be in my prayers!
And you had better get better by Spring or I'll have to drive up there in my new car and give you a swift kick!
