Just Got A '02 WRX - My Promise Inside
Aaron,
glad you put that LOL in there... mine is a wagon... But I didn't buy the car to pick up girls... I know its not as fast as the S2000 (a few simple and inexpensive mods can put it on level footing), but it isn't a direct competitor either...
And silly as it might sound, there is something rewarding about a car tha can haul more than just a$$
As of this point, my car has carried a Singer sewing machine, a wheelbarrow, and a Craftsman tool box simultaniously... can't do that even in the WRX sedan, hehe...
plus, the insurance is cheap, gas mileage is actually a tad higher than my S2K and the gawk factor is pretty low (all good things while I finish college). I don't know where some of you guys go to school that you don't worry about your S2K while you are in class. I about drove myself nuts trying to find the perfect parking spot. I guess for me, the WRX is just a car, and its nothing too special. It doesn't mean that I don't enjoy it... I enjoy it very much. I guess its just all about economies of scale. Dings (none yet!) chips and dirt just bother me less on the WRX.
