Can anyone independently verify that the subjects are recounting first-hand experiences of historical events?

I doubt it.

Can anyone independently verify that the subjects have not gathered knowledge about these people and places, even inadvertently or incidentally, in their (I hate to use the word) current lives?

I doubt it.

If these can be verified, how do I explain it?

I cannot. But I am not an expert on the subject. Perhaps those who are can explain it. The mere fact that I cannot is not evidence of the validity of reincarnation.

I believe that much knowledge is given (and received) spiritually. Such a means will appear in many ways the same as knowledge obtained through "past lives" if such were possible. I know of no test that will distinguish the two as sources of knowledge. Believing as I do requires no more faith than believing in reincarnation; perhaps more people ought to consider it.

I have no idea.. I think that there is something after death though.. maybe this time on earth is only a fragment of our lives, I'm sorta looking forward to "the day" just to see what, if anything, happens next.. There must be some type of causal explanation to why we are here, and how it all originated, I dunno... As for re-incarnation, that is another good possibility as well, I don't think you can rule it out.. you can't really rule anything out because nobody really knows, we can just make educated guesses..

I agree. You can't rule anything out because no body knows what happens after your brain stops working.

Even then the educated guesses are based on guesses.
I guess everyone is right, there is NOTHING that you can do to stop it, so when the time comes there either will be an afterlife or there wont... wither way I guess we are all going to find out.

Ohhhh man, if there isnt a afterlife someone is going to get a VERY nasty letter!

I think if there was one question you could have answered, this would be it, it's the eternal question that will be argued millions of years from now when we are all gone..
