Life After Death?

SiDriver,
Im totally playing the other side here but you talk about people not being able to support anything that they do not believe in.
I was raised under a Catholic house hold, and raised to believe and respect the Lord. Over time I lost my faith. It was a very scarry time in my life. I do not think that I have found God or that "higher being" but whoever it is has made his presence known.

No one has approached the subject from this perspective so I'll toss it into the pot. Even though practically all stories about the paranormal have been debunked by experts there are still some things that have not been explained away. Having said that - even if .0000000000000000001% of the unexplained ones have some substance to their validity then there is undoubtly something that happens on the "other side".
I consider myself a Christian (although a far cry from a zealot) and I truly believe that my soul will transend this physical plane of extistence when the time comes. I have no intentions of climbing up on a soapbox and preach to the unwashed masses but I will say this: I strongly believe that our actions and decisions we make while struggling to become more than children directly reflect on our soul in the end. We are meant to struggle with the gray area between right and wrong and learn from our mistakes (hopefully improving our character on the way). Belief in God and redemption through Christ is no guarantee that your life won't be filled with strife and grief - this aspect of our existence is not meant to be anything but a learning experience for what lies beyond. Nobody knows what that entails but belief in the Creator and faith in his promise of redemption for my crude attempts to do the right things along the way gives me security and peace of mind that enhances my ability to deal with the "real world".
