Looking to do a collage of S2K images.

Though being a bit Photoshop illiterate I can't friggen figure out how the hell to layer different images on a set background. Can anybody help me out?

Which version of Photoshop do you have? For the most recent support go to: http://adobedoc.kanisasolution.com/Photoshop6/Help.htm
and click "Layer" on the side bar for more info.

Does anybody have a suggestion of a program that could do such a collage of pictures and give a step by step on how to do it? I can get my hands on anything!
