lost my job today
Man, I'm sorry! When I saw the thread title with your name next to it, I felt really bad.
Cause ever since I first joined this board, I always would read posts about you and all your cool stuff. You are VERY involved. But don't hit your self to hard for it. I'm sure your wife will totally understand, and that you will find an even better job. I wish I could help, but I'm only 17. I need a job too. Can't even afford damn clear corners for my car.

Hey Mingster,
Let us know what you are looking for. Seems like I remember you worked in the space biz like me. With all your contacts on this board seems like somebody could help you out? Know anything about S-Band or other RF communications with Satellites? All our range guys are bailing so we will be in the hunt for replacements.

Richard, I just read the post. Sorry to hear about this. You have education and are talented and have smarts, so I think there is something else out there for you to do. Take care. You got email!
PS: Even if you let your S go with or without a new job, please continue posting and helping S2K owners and go to the meets!

Richard,
I'm very sorry that you lost your job, but at the same time I have all the confidence in the world that a man of your talents and goodwill be back on top in no time. Having but known you only through various posts, emails, and fantastic customer service, I am still certain that you are one of the most talented people I have ever had the fortune of meeting. You hang in there. The most important thing now is to believe in yourself and draw upon your wife's love as a source of infinite strength. Oh yeah, and remember that you have a huge cheering section here on S2Ki hoping to get to meet you at Monterey Days or whatever else event.

From what Ive seen, its not so much that the tech sector is bad, its just that it has changed. Where a year or two ago companies would hire anyone who had any tangential tech knowledge, now they're being more picky. Those with clues and skills are still highly sought after, hard to find and valuable. Its the ones that have little to offer that are having the difficulty finding jobs. Companies just dont have the money to throw at just anyone anymore.
Having said all that, Its clear to us that you're bright and shouldnt have any problems finding something when you want it.
