I've heard that adding a little water or an ice cube helps bring out the flavor more? I can only drink the really smooth stuff straight. I don't like neat harsh shit. I love JW blue label neat, but honestly it took me a while to tolerate it that way.

JW green IMO though is disgusting.
JW isn't bad for blended Scotch. I find Blue is overpriced and overrated. It isn't bad by any means, but for the money there are better things.

Well, I just stopped off at the market on my way home and picked up some Pepsi, some heavy cream (got fresh raspberries yesterday), and a bottle of Dewar's 12-year-old Special Reserve Blended Scotch Whisky.

Before sitting down here to type I had a sip.

Neat.

In a nutshell, it's not bad. I certainly don't have the most discerning palate - I'd probably have to have the Dewar's and follow it immediately with the Macallan or an oak-aged brandy to be able to tell the difference - but all-in-all, it was pretty good.

I'll have a bit each day, but it's not going to be much work to acquire a taste for it.

Probably easier than the acquiring a taste for the bhut jolokia chiles I have growing on the back patio (which have just started developing buds: I can't wait!)

I'll let you all know how the tasting goes.

Um, no.

Not even a good cigar.

Not even an extremely good cigar.

Not even if you offered me $5.

I'm sure it's the one, or else the other.
