On a similar subject, I would be interested to hear what Rage against the Machine had to say about this.

Completely biased and only my opinion, but I don't think most entertainers, models, etc. have much in the way of education. If you drop out of school at 16 to become a model in Paris, you aren't going to have developed critical thinking skills.

Yes, Jody Foster and a few others went to Yale, Harvard, etc. They are a huge exception to the rule. I loved it when MTV interviews Christina Aguilera on what should be done!

It's funny that when people say we should act with compassion, they're actually being quite insensitive. If we were truly to act with compassion, we would launch a massive strike. This shows compassion towards the victims and the families of the victims. IF we do not have any sort of military discourse, this would be acting in a cold-hearted way. Of course, this is IMO.

Jay, I suggest we should act with compassion as much as possible to the innocents in this situation, the poor people who have to live in Afghanistan, who didn't ask for this and many who don't support this. I totally support blowing bin Laden and all of his cohorts clear into the next millennium, but I'd really like to see civilian casualty held to a minimum. This isn't an eye for an eye...

charlie, it's rather rude and childish to describe those that may have a more liberal viewpoint than yourself, or who may even be at the very left of our political spectrum, as "despicable" and "commy" (usually spelled commie I believe).

Has Marilyn Manson issued a statement yet? I'm waiting for guidance.
