Making the best of a DUI
Assassin: Best reply yet, thank you...some good ideas to research.
Any pics of MY07 factory rims powdercoated?
I like the idea of doing the calipers, this is a perfect opportunity for that! Not sure what color schoeme would look classy on a Laguna other than black with blue lettering or silver with blue lettering

Not to be too offtopic, I think its kind of dumb for society as a whole to get worked up about drinking alcohol & driving when there are other things out there that are looked over. Like driving after taking pain medicine, there's a warning label on the meds, but not serious penalty for that. I also don't know how its legal to use chewing tobacco & drive. If you've never done it before & do a "dip" as they say, that shit will rock your world.

Oh, and about the society getting worked up about DUI's.... Theres nothing wrong with that. Loads of people die a year from DUI's in this country. Theres no reason to possibly contribute to that.
What branch are you in?
I'm in the AF and know a few guys that have gotten DUI off base. They were punished in civilian courts and by "the man". I didn't think they could do that (double jeopardy anyone?) but it does. Reduction to e1 (reduction to e4 for staff and above), 30 days base restriction, 30 days extra duty seems to be the norm punishment around here.
Hell, I was an e3 and got busted down to e2 for being in the same room as a guy who was underage drinking. I didn't contribute or anything but I was a "bad wingman"

Seriously, getting punished twice.....WTF is that all about?
If you were a truck driver and you got a DUI, you might have the regular civilian punishment, and then you might also lose your job. That's getting punished twice.
The difference is the military has the legal right to imprison their "employees" as opposed to just firing them.
Man alot of you guys are harsh, the guys already going through hell as it is already, I don't think he needs to hear anyone else nagging him. Put yourself in his shoes for once before you open your mouth.
