well I don't know what Kumar posted, but one of my first thoughts when I read about him was wonder why his parents had put 3 other siblings through the same thing as well....

I'll leave a rant out of this, but hope people can think for themselves.

wasnt their a famous musician, whose mother was very sick, had a few kids who were also born sick and ill, had her final child and he turned out fine and was pratically a genius? i think it was Bethoven, but im not 100% sure.

but anyway, everything happens for a reason, and its a shame people have to suffer, and we are very fortunate to be healty, but we still have to take into consideration the less fortunate and picture ourselves in their place.

Mattie has a sister, Katie, and two brothers, Stevie and Jamie, who each died during early childhood from this same infant onset disease that affects Mattie. Mattie's mother, Jeni, has the adult onset form of this disease. She did not know that she would ever have the disease, or that she would pass such a disease on to her children until after she gave birth to them.

Emphasis mine.

May God rest your soul, Mattie. Thanks for being there for all of us.

Kids like Mattie are here to make a difference. they show us hope and teach us to appreciate life more. Its very sad to see them go at such a young age.

I agree...I have been a "fan" of him since he had been on Larry King the 1st time. When a 11 year old is smarter than you, you kinda have to respect them, especially when they are faced with so many obstacles!
