Default Mazda Millenia Supercharged anyone?

I think we have a deal... buying a '00 Mazda Millenia S (Supercharged) completely loaded (6 disk cd in dash, heated seats, etc......etc....etc....)... anyway... it only has 14k miles and 1.5 years left on warranty....for the low low price of....

Guess.... it had a purchase price of $30,000 in Feb '00.

Doesn't surprise me at all. I took a major beating on mine when the lease was up. It was worth so much less then the buyback it's not funny.

They listed for 40k here, then the year after I bought it, the MSRP dropped to 34k after 3 years it was worth 10k. It just pissed me off to no end.

However, I loved the car, it had smooth power, and pulled for what seemed like ever. Very comfortable, and reliable.

Depending on where you buy it from, if its a dealer ask him to throw in a timing belt change if you take the car. It cost be around 1700 bucks to have it changed. the SC has to come out, and its at least a 1 day job.
All prices listed are CDN dollars

Ya, i saw they went for $37k US down to about $32k US... that would suck...... just like the old Supra drop in price.

Anyway... my thinking is if we drive it for a year and sell it, i can't lose too much, and if she likes it, we'll just keep it... The other half just isn't into cars......Women!!!!

Mike - Why didn't you just turn it in, and walk away from it.? (you indicated it was worth a lot less than the buyout.?)

I did walk away from it, but I try and tailor my lease's so that I have some equity at the end. I try and keep the buyback low. as it turned out, I walked away with nothing.

They are however an excellent deal on the used market.

Yeah, my dad just bought a 99 Millenia S last week. It came off a lease and had only 25K miles. He absolutely loves it, especially when the supercharger kicks in Out on Wednesday will be his 92 Buick Regal with 118K miles, in will be the Mazda. My mom just bought an 01 Protege so now they are a 2-Mazda family and I am a 3-Honda family

I've also heard that the resale value on the Millenia is not very good. Bad for somebody else, but good for him! I don't know how much he paid, but I'm sure he got a good deal.

I have not seen the car yet, but anxious to ride in it.

Our Millenia is now in the garage... 14k miles for $16.5k.. seemed too good to be true. I even checked online and the cheapest '00 i found was about $20k and they weren't supercharged.

Mike - I got a MINI catalog in the mail today...did you get yours?

Yeah, I sure did..................I got two actually.......one from MINIUSA and another from my local dealer! The cars looks great but I can't decide between the Cooper or Cooper S..........economy versus power for the daily driver.

How's the Megabusa coming?? Where can I find pics of this vehicle (not YOUR specific car, but pics of others)???
