Trash? No-he is a piece of shit.
he's a human being who used poor judgement. It remains to be seen if he'll learn from this or continue to act irresponsibly. He hasn't exactly the best track record.

I stand by what I said about Vick.
Exactly.

There's a crossover point where good people who have done bad things become bad people who have occasionally done good things. Nobody can be a bad person ALL the time, so it's ridiculous to even be searching for things he's done in his life that justify why he deserves more chances.

That's just a silly comparison. If you're talking on a personal level, Bush did break the law at times in his life but he is by no means a repeat offender contributing to the seedy underbelly of society. On a professional level, the Administration is always strategizing and working towards an ever-evolving goal of North American prosperity. There are definitely some questionable paths that have been taken. I voted for Bush, I wouldn't if he were up for re-election now, so that is where I get my second chance to make right the mistake of helping to elect him to office.

A collective grouping can not realistically be compared to an individual.

im not saying that his ethnicity played a factor in his sentencing, i'm saying it is present, no matter how slight, in his public defamation.
Damn right race factors are present in this situation:

See something common here? Do you think it's a coincidence they are all black?

Isn't it funny how people are somehow out there defending a man who confessed to federal and state crimes? I hate to say it, but rarely (if ever) will you see a group of white people outside courthouses with signs supporting a white suspect/criminal whether he confessed or not.

For some reason there is this need that black people seem time and again to have to "back each other up" regardless of the crime or action that led an individual to be in that position. 5 Kids get expelled from school for ganging up on a single other student and nearly beating him half to death. Here comes Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton to talk about how they didn't do enough wrong to warrant the action.

Regardless of skin color, these actions are unacceptable in our society. People are getting a serious lesson on that. Whether the example happens to be black, white, asian or otherwise, we all know the serious ramifications of these sorts of actions and it's now very real. Nobody should be defending him except for his lawyer.
