Misguided Boxster Owners
Well, you know logic and reason have flown out the window when people start insulting the other guy's BBoard software!
Next you guys will be insulting our dogs!
FYI, I posted a suitably caustic reprimand on PPBB to let folks know that some of us are way out of line.
I just wish we could settle this on the track! Not to prove superiority, but just to have good natured, competitive fun. Then we could really slam each other, but with actual proof versus misinformed, generalized ranting.
Jason Williams for Player of the Year!
(Oh man, now I am gonna stir up the Tar Heel fans, too!)

Agian I'm reading about pointless arguments. While both the S2K and the Boxster are similar, they are vastly different as well. It's been said a million times, but I'm sure most of the S2K owners could afford a boxster if the wanted one. But they CHOSE the Honda for many reasons we all know.
It's a wasted effort trying to convince someone that one choice is better then another. When really neither choice is!
A matter a personal opinion, and it should be left at that.....can't we all just get along

On the other hand....Just thought I would mention this.
My boss has a boxster and we constantly put down each others cars for fun. Things like your car's slower, well mine is more comfortable blah, blah, blah. All in good fun. But we did swap cars for a weekend and both of us came back appreciating each others cars for what they were. Different, but both enjoyable as well.

I am a Boxster S owner. I had seen a post to this site and wanted to reply. I in no way am a spokes person for any of the folks back at Porsche Pete's Boxster Page. It is a shame that all this bashing is going on. Almost bought the s2000 last year. The thing is I wanted a Porsche so I bought one. We are not snobs, at least most of us are not. Hell 911 owners seem to even turn there nose up at boxter owners. Some S owners act like regular boxsters are inferior. I respect the S2000. Oh and I want to say nice forum. Feel free to respond to my comments. Hell it is only a sports car.
You can't blame us for generalizing the Boxster population.
Wouldn't you agree that 90% of the Boxster buyers don't even know about cars?
The same can't be said about S2000 owner.
Yes, it's just a Honda. Right, it has low torque...and guess what, it also takes someone who knows the car to look pass all that and not get fooled by a general perception of Porsche.
Now, how can you blame us for pointing out the ignorance of a population that would hold for at least 90% of the owners?
I'm not gonna go troll on that board, but that thread is a fairly good example.
It's too bad that real car enthusiasts/boxster owners are covered by blanketed by the statement, but the statement is generally true.
That's what you get for buying a car that implies status.......coz a lot of dudes(not even the rich ones) who know nothing about cars buy it.

My point is...if you generalize and say all Boxster/Porsche owners are annoying/misinformed/rude/snobs, then you are generalizing just as broadly and your opinions should be just as summarily dismissed.

Hey BBoy, somehow I knew your twisted hand would be a part in all of this!
Seriously, I harbor NO ill will towards ANY Boxster folks...and I even LIKE and admire the Boxster.
And I most certainly agree. In all the track time I had last season, I never found a Boxster on a race track. I would LOVE to run one at a race track...I wish I was still in Texas so I could come down to admin some smack on yer ass!
But yea, the S2000 is for the track. The 4Runner is for the street. The Boxster? Hmmm, it's, well, ummm, what is that thing for anyway?!
I'm kidding...
As I said before, hang out here...I, for one, enjoy your ramblings...
