Actually, she's in kindergarten, not preschool, that was last year.

Not all kids have the same level of immune system. Some can get a cold or flu more easily than others, and shouldn't be allowed to play in the windy or drizzly condition. Heck, even I as an adult, would get sick too, much less a toddler. I'm going to have a word with this 25 yr-old teacher!

You are definitely over reacting.

No, not over-reacting. When she's sick, I also lose sleep and stuff, by taking care of her. Today, I'm exhausted because of it. My point is, that teacher should have more common sense than to let children play outside when it's a bit windy and drizzly. I would get sick from that (and I have, by walking the dog or jogging in that condition), much less a child. LET THE CHILDREN OUTSIDE TO PLAY ONLY WHEN IT'S SUNNY AND WARM, NOT COLD AND WINDY! It's not a requirement! Staying inside the classroom is just as good.

You are overreacting. This is so about you and not about your daughter. Kids get sick. That's fine. It's not like the teacher was letting her play in dirty toilets.

You know, there is growing medical literature that the coddling Western sterility that we "enjoy" is actually unbalancing our immune systems. We no longer have the "challenges" of immunity that strengthens and broadens our repertoire. So we develop asthma and autoimmune diseases as a result of primed immune systems with no pathogens to fight.

So you might want to thank that 25 yo Western teacher, she just might have prevented your kid from getting a real illness later. You're going to sue about sniffles? Maybe you need to donate more money to East Asian refugees... you know they play outside in the rain, don't you?

And I'll gladly contribute $20 back to your income if you'll get her a haircut that doesn't involve your bathroom, a pair of scissors, and a large bowl.

Intelligence and other God-given attributes are wasted more often than not. Without discipline and dedication it's all in vain.

I was two grades ahead from 3rd grade on, high SAT score, blah blah blah. My grades weren't that great by the time I took calculus etc. in highschool because they didn't have to be.

I still got in to a solid program at the University of Texas in Austin and suddenly intelligence wasn't enough. I shattered my GPA my first 3 semesters trying to apply my fiscal discipline to my school work. In the end I left with a strong understanding of economics and could read/write/speak Mandarin, but my intelligence had little to nothing to do with it. 98% discipline. Focus on teaching what can be taught.

We've taken our daughter out for walks since she was six months old. That includes 45*F temperatures with winds at 20 and 30 mph in Eastern Canada right on the ocean coast. She's healthier than most kids we know, including the son of the people we were staying with for four months at the time. They kept their son in all the time and he was a health nightmare.

I'm with Ckit - get them out and get them used to some "less than perfect" conditions.

I really hope your obsession does not end up hurting her in some way... Wind and drizzle? She is going to GROW UP one day, how will you stop that from happening??

This is the second time my little girl has gotten sick from school as a result of the teacher's carelessness. This moronic teacher keeps letting the kids outside to play even when it's a bit windy and drizzly. Stupid 25 yr-old teacher! This is not the first time my little girl has gotten sick because of this foolishness. When it's a bit windy and drizzly, why not stay inside the classroom? I'm paying almost $300/month for this private kindergarten and this fool keeps making my daughter sick, and I suspect other kids have gotten sick as well. I'm going to have a chat with this teach and the school. If it ever happens again, I'm going to slap a big, fat lawsuit like white on rice - the American style!

On a good note, she's starting piano lessons next week and violin in the future, so she'll grow up to be a piano and violin prodigy.

Seriously, who the hell would let kids play in the windy and drizzly condition?
weren't you the guy who was trying to sue some doctor?
damn dude!!!
