600 hp (actually probably 600 PS or about 591 hp) out of a 4.0 liter is 150/liter - good, but what sort of emissions package is on it? Flow thru with no cats, no consideration for mileage, this isn't all that great - the NASCAR boys can get 700-800 hp out of a very low tech 5.8 liter V8.

The other engine is even less spectacular - 150 hp (again probaly 150 PS = 148 HP) at 11000 RPM is only about 71 lb-ft of torque - not all that great, comparable (per liter) to what our beloved S2000 makes.

as what it said in the site...
it is gonna be the car for normal road use and is purposed for long mileage use.. It also said the engine is tested and good enough for 400K KM, which will be 250K miles...

Well, if they are gonna make this car to be a monster to compare with Ferrari... I guess they will think a way to pass the test !! to be street legal. So, you don't even need to worry about this car is gonna be race only!!

Oh, and also, they say it is gonna be more than 600!! so... they have no idea what will the final project will be...

 

You're right - I didn't. I can't install the Japanese fonts because my install CD is ^%$ed up.

Anyway, I wouldn't think a 600+ horsepower car would really be intended as a street car. Although the 150 HP 1 Liter does have some promise if it is reliable and fairly quiet.
