Default Need ALUMINUM Portfolio case!

i just graduated with my degree in graphic design, anyhow i need a new portfolio case, i built one out of plexiglass myself, but i want something a little more functional.

i want it to be unique and aluminum, but i dont wanna spend over say...150$$

i found a company in UK that makes some awsome stuff but 500+ US dollars is crazy...

ive dont ebay serches, im thinking ill jsut buy a Pena Zagaro(er whatever) because their the only decent manufacturer i can find...

We've got a bunch of places here in the city that have 'em either Pina or custom. I got my wife the Pina aluminum 11x17. It's a quality piece and only cost me $70 back in 2003.

Agreed - and that way it's original. When I graduated from art school EVERYONE was doing the aluminum case or binder, so I thought it was boring. Plus, it shows your production skillz yo!

sheesh... why are these things so expensive? I just created a portfolio for job-related stuff(tech, so resume, proposals, processes created and junk) and got somethign at office depot. Granted it is ghetto, but for the jump in price from $5 to $70? Seems like some of those screwpost portfolios should cost around maybe $20 or so, 30 or 40 max, but 70?
