A friend of mine asked me to help him look for a new car. He is not realy into cars but just needs something to get him back and forth to work. He wants to buy new and his budget is $13,500 - $15,000 tops. I have suggested the Honda Civic EX Coupe. Its practical and it looks really nice.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

 

If he's just going back and forth to work and doesn't need back seats, why not have him look at the Honda Insight - gas/electric hybrid, 70 mpg. Should be at the top of his price range.

 

I think the Insight only comes in stick. He doesnt drive stick.

 

Actually, the "new" Insight comes with an auto. I think it's their new constantly variable transmission. It gets almost the same fuel economy. The price, though, might go over his limit but check.
