need a thin & light dell laptop
I woke up at 6am and ordered me a 700m for the discount. It was quite frustrating as the website became very slow from several people logging on. Oh well, I got one. I can't wait until it comes in!
Here's where I found the deal for the huge discount:

whatever you do just make sure you get the 3 year plan. you will kick yourself in the arse if you don't.i sure as hell did.
i have the dell 5150. it was a cnet editors choice and at the time best bang for the buck. after having the notebook for about 7 months the power plug kept on messing up. dells answer: ohh its just a bad block we'll send you a new one. fine got a new one and it worked again.
forward 4 months later and this block is going bad as well. what am i to do. so i go online search around and find out that i'm not the only one having this problem. seems that the design of the notebook messes up the dc jack. i call up dell and explain to them what is happening and that i'm clearly not the only one and they said we have no idea what your talking about. the only way to fix your notebook is to buy a refurbished motherboard for $750. when your still under warranty they will do anything to help you. however, out of warranty they could care less about you as a customer.
also about the tech cd's. they are great however, if you don't get a code from them you can't do anything about it. i had a clients notebook and his harddrive was clearly messed up. data got curropted. you can hear the spindle hitting the spheres inside. however, we could never send it back because we would put the cd in and no errors would come up.
companies use dells because unlike other computer companies they get good deals from dell.
anyway i've ranted for to long. good luck with the laptop.
