I was thinking this is way too broad. I'm all for eye for an eye. I don't think it's cruel or unusual to gang rape one of these people with a dry splintery broom handle.

Because then we would have to pay them...gotta love the system

Everyone has the right to freedom, the right to bear arms, etc etc....those rights disappear once convicted of most crimes. The right to minimum wage/fair pay for work should be just like that.
Just camp WFO Racer's buddy out somewhere in case any of the laborers decide to make a break for it. He can test out his "ball-sighting" on them.

Unfortunately it costs taxpayers 10x more to execute a prisoner than to keep him in prison for life.

So, if there is video footage of crimes for which the death penalty applies, or there are 5+ witnesses from varying vantage points, and a jury that agrees to the sentencing, remove the opportunity for appeal.
It's so stupid that the cost issues get reduced into "execution costs 10x more than keeping in inmate alive for the rest of their life." I know hicks with guns who'd be plenty happy to personally finance the execution of inmates convicted of certain heinous crimes - No charge to the state!

Due process is a good and an bad thing. It provides people who are wrongly convicted all the necessary chances to appeal. Unfortunately it also provide those who are rightfully convicted all of the same chances.
