I read a study about American education compared to other countries. Needless to say, America wasn't very high on the list...in fact, an average Japanese student's math skills were better than the top 1% of American students. That's just a microcosm of what the study proved. Has America done great things? Sure it has...but don't discredit other countries.

Many many people believe that the power of the world will be shifting the next century to the East, because of the vast potential that is just waiting to be unlocked.

In unrelated news, I was watching Sportscenter, and they had the top 10 plays of the day. Ian Thorpe (Australian) set a WR in a swimming event by over 2 seconds! That was number 10. Number 3? An American who broke a WR by .33 seconds. Personally, I hold no patriotic bias towards any country, but seeing that made me do this...

Since WASPs (White Anglo-Saxon Protestants) have written most of the history of America, they have also taken/given WASPs most of the credit for its inventions/innovations. In fact, many races and creeds are responsible for the miracle known as America. There, that's probably my one and only contribution to "Political Correctness."

Ok, enough. This was a reminder of rule #1 for those who are new and didn't know and those that knew but smoked too much pot in school to remember. It's not related to a specific post or thread but rather several that have cropped up recently. I want to have the political talk toned down (preferably to nill if that's possible). I specifically mean expressions of opinion regarding political leanings and/or idiologies including views related to your opinions of political parties, leaders, lobbyists and activists.

This site is viewed around the world and has members from every corner of the globe. Your views may not be shared by others and thus should not be aired here. I simply ask for use of common sense and courtesy as everyone here has their own views and their rights to them. Politics is a passionate subject for many and I'd rather it not spill over to this place.

Eltianti

CE is an Electrical/Safety Standard used in all of Europe and also in Japan (I believe). In the us, we have UL.

Windows CE is a hand held device operating system

I don't get it? We must never say anything to anyone who might disagree with us? Whatever happened to rational debate?

Why not just say, "This is a car site, stick to cars or mundane stuff in Off Topic"? I sure hope we can air views about S2000s that other people might not share .
