This thread is hilarious! I am certain ElTianti is just kidding because no one makes this kind of fool of themselves on a public forum...at least not on purpose right? But then again, ignorance is bliss so if one truly believes all the American-centric views that have been posted, i guess the world must be a great place for the believers.

As an American born American (by ElTianti's definition) who has travelled the world and seen just how ignorant and stupid people can be all over the world, I am still ashamed to say that Americans still come in first on that list. Not everyone is ignorant, but certain examples on this thread again support my finding. So sad.

Development of world powers is a dynamic thing. The middle kingdom in Asia thousands of years ago developed explosives, which the kingdoms in Europe used and developed to spawn colonialism across the globe, which then gave rise to a new powerhouse in the americas which currently sits as the reigning world power. But as the economies and society changes, the trend continues westward, back across to Asia where the future development will likely be. (Did not mean to leave the southern hemisphere out of this model, so those down under, please do not be offended)
