No S2000 for me :(
I might have spoke too soon! I've convinced the dealership to give me more money for my 3000GT and it looks like I might actually be employed come next week. Chips are falling into place :-) Girlfriend might have to give up some convertible road head! haha

Patience, grasshopppa!
3000GT -- yes, keeping that car could get expensive, if my father in law's '93 Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo (Chrysler sold a slightly modified trim of the 3000GT in Canada as the Dodge Stealth) is any indicator. He still has it, and its still a head-turner, but the smallest things on that car are insanely expensive to replace.

loco3kgt,
I would be a little more patient and get a new one. You do not sound like your financially sound and if your not careful you could end up loosing it (repo). Take your time and save some more money, think of your total costs involved in buying any car let alone an S2000. Remember you will have high insurance rates, maintenance (tires @ 15,000 miles), and not a stable income since you are only just getting a job.
Time is on your side. Do not rush it. IMO
Good luck in your decision.

I just got my S2000 a few days ago and I am turning 18 on the 15th of August. My previous vehicle wuz a 1992 Lexus ES300 and I sold that for $10k and had $3k in the bank. So with a $13k downpayment i ended up paying only $350 a month for 60 months. I guess I am lucky =)
