Just about any high quality ($100-300) sunglasses are well worth the money. I can see needing polarized lenses if you spend huge amounts of time on the water, but my Smith glasses aren't polarized and are far, far better than my cheapo polarized for wearing all day on bright sunny days on and off the water. In fact, I wear my Smiths pretty much any time it isn't dark and gloomy. I use my polarized only when my Smiths are unavailable.

I suppose if I got polarized lenses for my Smiths I might like them as much or more, but the trade-off with LCD screens makes it not worth it to me. When you are cutting more than 80% of the light, the glare that would be blocked by polarized lenses is minimal. Unless you are wanting to see down into the water, there really isn't a compelling reason to restrict yourself to polarized lenses, IMHO. As an additional set of lenses for frames you already own, I'd think it would be a good idea. But I'd not want them for everyday use.

I don't see how polarization could affect whether you can picture the racing line or not.
See the racing line...not picture it.
you cannot see it physicaly on the track surface.
that more clear?

I have a model from Arnette that works for my melon head. I have no clue what the model is though. Hopefully that helps a bit. I think it ran about $100 from sunglasshut.

Edit: Found them, AN4054. Mine is the polar brown color.
Ended up going with a set of Arnette 4063 from SGH. Was only like $80. Not as as the Juliets, but not $300 either I tried on the Juliet's but again, my head was too big for them. They seem like very solidly constructed glasses though. Nice.
