Default Office 2000!

Can someone PLEASE help me with this?

How do I create a backup file for Outlook 2000 so I don't have to put in all the info everytime I reinstall windows?

Thanks so much in advance..

Generate a .pst file.
go to import and export and export the file, this will generate a .pst file.

Which OS are you running. Usually all you need to do is save your .pst file or export your data to .pst.

uh no, you dont export it. or else, export to what?

I think he knows what to look for *.pst - and it will most likely reside in c:documents and settings somewhere. just do a search for *.pst in the root to save mail settings

but to answer your question, to reenter the mail settings - like your popmail server, etc. you'll still have to do that. sorry man. just write all that down and any network settings that apply, and reinstall.

also, as a tidbit, if you are deltreeing and reinstalling, and going from dos, and use smartdrv before deltree windows, makes things go a bit faster, but other wise.... format reinstall? new drive? dunno.
