Man, I've missed out on seeing the wrestling and weightlifting events, but I've seen most of the swimming and gymnastics stuff. Man, I love those gymnasts! They are so hot! Small, strong, lean, muscular, yet feminine and beautiful. Courtney Coupats (sp?) is such a hottie. And she's legal (18)

Of course, the beach volleyball girls have hot bods, but I'm not into amazon women.

What's up with many of the American athletes pouting, crying and acting like bitches if they don't win a gold medal? They should be happy that they qualified to be in the Olympics. And to win any medal is a great honor. But they've been acting like such babies if they didn't get the top spot. There are hundreds of countries in the Olympics, and the U.S. usually takes the most medals, yet they pout if they don't win gold? They should be happy. Happy that they aren't from some small country that doesn't have the coaches or equipment or even the nice places to live and good food to eat. Some of these countries can barely afford to send a representive. Sure, some may not be able to compete against the top athletes, but it's a great honor to them. And the U.S. athletes seem very selfish.

I'm off my rant now.

I'll keep watching, as I enjoy the games.

I'd heard that members of the US Men's Volleyball team were cursing the Italian team after Italy beat them. If I were the coach of the US team, I'd have benched every player who did so. And if that meant forfeiting the remainder of their matches, so be it. That sort of behavior is intolerable. Or, rather, it should be.

Not to mention that it's a horrible example to set for all the kids who are watching that looking up to their "idols".

Hey, was it just me or did Courtney McCool not compete in any of the US women's team competition for gymnastics?

She did compete in the team stuff (some events), during the semi-finals. I don't recall seeing her in the finals. She'll probably be back for tonight's all-around competition. I don't care about her, I love the other Courtney (Coupats - sp?).

Wow! That's ridiculous! I can't believe the men's volleyball team behaved like that. I didn't see or hear about that, but it is a poor site to see. What a bunch of asses. Hell yeah they should have been benched! That's absurd. Their behavior is unacceptable. What ever happened to "being a good sport?"

Yeah, I probably should've clarified my last post. I know Courtney McCool competed in the team competition for the prelims, but she was definitely absent from competing in any event from the team finals. Just wondering why, especially when the US women's team had a lot of last minute substitutions (like putting Mohini Bhardwaj in on floor & beam).

Has anyone heard what happened w/ the women's individual all-around competition? I can't find any results on it yet. No need to ruin it for everyone. If you know what happened, please PM me.

Nate, I agree w/ you that Courtney Kupets is an amazing athlete, especially considering the injury she came back from having not too long ago! But I still wouldn't do her.

I think it went out the window along with the Olympic Oath: "We swear that we will take part in these Olympic Games in the true spirit of sportsmanship, and that we will respect and abide by the rules that govern them, for the glory of sport and the honour of our country."

When I didn't see the athletes and judges taking the Olympic Oath at the opening ceremony, I knew the games have changed -- for the worse.

Wow! First Paul Hamm gets the gold after one bad event in the individual all-around and now Carly Patterson wins the gold! Nice!

What's wrong JerseyGirl, you wouldn't get it on with Courtney Kupets? She's HOT! I'd watch!

That's okay, I want her all to myself anyway!
