I'm a pulp man myself. If the pulp is not very fresh then it just kind of makes the juice thick and sludgy. Fresh pulp and fresh squeezed whenever possible.

I drink my orange juice to quench my thirst, so no pulp.
on a side note, if you don't work out regularly, make sure you drink your orange juice in moderation. One glass is equivalent to 3-4 oranges. You drink two glasses and that's 8 oranges! That is too much natural sugar and vitamin C.
Also, if you can, try to squeeze your orange juice. It tastes better as store bought orange juice is squeezed with EVERYTHING on, like the tangy peel and bitter white strands of fiber.
