Passport Book Vs. Passport Card

Did the price go up on passport books? I think I paid $70 for mine. Although that was back in 2002 or so.

Id say pay the $100 and do it right the first time. I never really thought I would use mine other than cruises but im headed to Oktoberfest later this yr so im glad I got it.

I felt the same way.. so when I applied (went to mexico for this past xmas). I just applied for the card.

When I went to the post office, they asked if I was traveling by land or sea, and I said "uh..no".

That's the difference . The card is for land/sea travel. The book is for everything.

The U.S. Passport Card cannot be used for international air travel.
