The saga continues. For those of you who don't know what this is about:

The funds are still trapped in my account. After dealing with rude and incompetent customer service representatives for the last month, and still no progress with my situation, I'm tossing the shit into the fan. I just called an attorney down in Long Beach to help put all of this behind me. I've just sent this email to paypal:

To whom it may concern:

Exactly 48 hours ago, I was told over the phone that the funds in my account would be reimbursed to my buyers in a 24-48 hour timeframe. About 20 minutes ago I spoke with a gentleman in customer service, and was notified that the request for the reimbursement was never submitted.

I have just contacted my attorney, and we've set up an appointment Wednesday of next week at 2:00 PM (exactly 7 days from now) to discuss the filing of a lawsuit. I hope that these 7 days will be a sufficient amount of time for your staff to complete the refund to my customers. Thank you,

I feel very uncomfortable with a company THIS incompetent having access to my bank account information. Today I'm paying my bank a visit and removing ALL of my funds from my checking account so that Paypal won't have any way of wasting my time and money in the future. Spending hundreds or possibly thousands of dollars on attorneys to pry MY cash out of the cold grip of Paypal is fine with me. I've never felt such a strong urge to track down ANYBODY and pay them a personal visit. Luckily for Paypal's CEO, I don't own a gun.

After reading your initial post and the paypaysucks site, I cancelled my account. It is very scary that I let these people have direct access to my bank account

Good luck!

I just saw a TV news report earlier this week that there is at least one class action law suit in the works against paypal. Never give anybody access to your bank account! Never.

Damn, that sucks. I think I'll cancel my Paypal account and re-signup with a credit card only one.

I just started using ebay over a month ago and started using Pay Pal. However, I make all my payments via credit card. However, I did have to use my checking acount to become "verified."
