Anyone here planning on getting the PS3? I think it will blow away Xbox 360.

is the pre-order available, i want to buy like 6 of these things

 

it's about the games, not the hardware. I don't really much care how it looks or what the specs are, it has to have a game that's worth $600, and unless it comes with a "servicing" attachment, there isn't one.

 

might just be my next dvd player...

 

I really like sony products, I really do, but I HATE everything else about them.

I hate how they always try to introduce new media formats that don't work.

I hate how (in specific) they didn't even care about changing the controller design. Yeah they had that boomerange thing, but they at least could have found a happy medium.

I hate how they use that stupid spider-man 3 font on the PS3.

I hate how it costs so damn much.


My friends have the 360. I don't really care for it, but I'd be fun playing online with them. The Wii, looks kinda fun, usual nintendo.

But no_really was right, its all about the games, and being a "gamer", I haven't felt tingly inside about a new game since 1997... AND GRAPHICS SUCKED THEN!

i wouldnt buy the ps3 right away...i would wait to see how it is recieved first...plus most first gen games arent going to be that great either...the only way it will warrant the price of 600 is if blu ray takes off here...if not then you dont have too much...360 is finally starting to come out with some good games...both graphics and gameplay are coming along well...plus the ps3 doesnt have as much memory as the 360 so programmers and artists will need some time to master the ps3 capabilities...

 

 

I'm with No Really. Its all about the games. What I read there has me salivating but I'm not pre-ordering. Look at it this way, XBox 360 hardware is a big jump up from the original XBox but the games are not giving me anything more. E.g. -- I enjoyed PGR 1 & 2 as much or more than PGR 3.

I originally bought my PS2 because of the Gran Turismo series. Maybe the PS3 with have some similar killer titles. If not it'll be a blood-bath for Sony.
