The lock-in is classed as a private party by the landlord

Isn't that from Bloom County? I know I've seen that underpants-profit thing somewhere before.

On topic, there's an English guy on my soccer team...a few weeks ago he gave us an inspirational speech about how we all just need to run like "Whippets" to get the job done. We of course had no idea what he was talking about. He then explained that a Whippet is some kind of fast dog like a Greyhound . You crazy Brits .

BTW, is "Limey" still considered derogatory??

Being called a Limey certainly wouldnt bother me.
I think over the last 60 years 'Limey' has faded into history.
Would you guys be offended by the term 'Yanks' ??

No I'm pretty sure being called Yanks doesn't bother us...unless there's some more colorful adjectives in front of it.
