[B]'Shag' is not an offensive word in the u.k.
Im not having a go at you guys, just trying to get a bit of cheeky lively banter.
American wrestling is hardly for real now is it

No I'm pretty sure being called Yanks doesn't bother us...unless there's some more colorful adjectives in front of it.

Lived in Peterbrough UK for 4 1/2 years. Fun times. Isn't a Yank a short gerk! Think about that one.

And Andy, you'll get no argument from me on the baseball player thing. However, from what little I've seen of Rugby, the collisions involved in American football tend to involve much higher velocities. I don't think I'd dare call football players wimps...especially not to their faces!
Maybe they just like their teeth intact. And don't get me started on the manliness of cricket players!
I totally agree with you, cricket players are totally weird and mad. I wouldnt even call it a sport, more of standing around enjoying the view.
I have no doubt that american football players are as hard as old boots but all that padding is a bit over the top.
I think he meant that gerk = Jerk
Ossie rules football is a tough game played by tough, if a little bit, mad blokes.
