at first when we first broke up she said what would you do if I wanted to see other people and I said I couldn't do that and I would move on...but I don't think she really wants to be with anyone else. I know she isn't seeing any other guys, but I don't know what I'd do if she did. I think you are right though, if she does that it probably means that she doesn't love me the way I thought she did and I'll just have to move on.

Ivelina, thanks for the thoughtful reponse! I hope what you are saying is true and all she is doing is misinterpreting her own emotions/feelings. For the year we were together, all we pretty much did was hang out with eachother, she didn't really have any friends. Now that she is single again, she is seeing her friends all the time and I think all she can remember are the boring nights we had together. Hopefully I can change the perception and help her realize that we don't need to be broken up in order to have fun. I don't want to get married right now either, so we'll have to see what the future holds. Either way life is going to suck for a little bit.

 

I'm 29 and my girlfriend is 22. We've been together for more than 2.5 years and get along very well and have many of the same interests (cars, working out, etc.). Actually, she's the mechanic in the family, as she gets her hands dirty while working on her car and others' cars.

So age doesn't always have something to do with it. I was worried that she was going to be in major party mode when we got together (she was 19, I was 26). But she was already past that. She is much more mature than others at her age, so I think that is the key.

My take on all this is .....
The ladies chose you ...... believe me when I say... as soon as you work into a room... the single and available ladies already know if they are interested or not.....
So my advice is, if your looking to hook up..... pay special attention to your surrounding....... I think females are equipped with a special sonar device.... ping ping ping... u know similar to the once they have on subs..... but instead of detecting enemy ships, they use it to detect possible candidates.....
So having said that, I would just think of it as an audition.... be prepared and always smile cause they are watching you......


Once they smile or give you 'that look' go for it.... but remember to not say anything too stupid......

As a staunch libratarian I am all for SMALLER government, less laws and fewer intrusions into our lives.

However, one law I would support would be minimum ages for marriages. While there will ALWAYS be exceptions, as a rule people under 23 are generally NOT ready for marriage, but are often sure they are. I was one of those. I almost got married at 20 and it would have been a HUGE mistake.

If you are still together and want to get married in 2 years, go for it.

 

Just don't get married.
