Haha, yup, of course I remember you, particularly because we share some, um, common interests. If it's just the rear bumper, then it's no big deal. Good thing he missed destroying the quarter panel, that would've sucked a lot worse. Not much new with me, just the same ol' daily routine. My tranny just went to hell a few days ago though. 2nd gear took a vacation, so now I have to get that resolved. What a pain in the ass. Hmmm...the alleyway? I never even knew what that was in the first place...anything like The Corner? Well, welcome back dude!

Everything you ever wanted to know about my tranny - plus a hell of a lot more - in this thread:

http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...threadid=191291

Basically, the synopsis is that my car developed the infamous 2nd gear grind maybe 10k miles or so ago. It progressively got worse, and now I can't get into 2nd gear at all. So, it's currently sitting in my garage with effectively no 2nd gear. Leading suspicion is bad synchros, but who knows...

It's finals week in school right now, so I haven't had time to take it in to the shop. That saga will unfold later on in the week, and I just have this feeling it's going to be some sort of adventure.

Once my tranny gets fixed, I think I'm going to sell the car. I'm looking at getting a bike instead to give me my adrenaline fix. You're an avid biker, right? If you don't mind, I might come solicit some advice from you if and when the time comes. I've never ridden a bike before and am totally clueless about them.

Sorry to hear about your problems man. Yeah, bikes are a great rush. It connects you to the road even more than the S. You feel the corners because you are leaning into them, so it's more like you're riding waves if you get my analogy. Definently hit me up when you are ready to get into them. I might even be able to help you find a used bike if that's what you are looking for cause one of the guys out here I did business with gets bikes from Cali and I believe he also has a dealer connection. Good luck on your finals too man!
