Really old school - does anyone remember?
My first R/C kit was an MRC buggy. Then I got an RC10 buggy (gold chassis). Sold that to a friend who drove it into a commercial lawn mower (needless to say,t aht was the end of that car). I then got an RC10GT which I used for many years. Also had an HPI Nitro RS4 Racer which I would race along with the GT. I was heavily into the sport for years and became quite skilled. Traded the RS4 Racer to a friend for an 1/8th scale buggy which I hated. My friend still has some of the stuff from my RS4 Racer, really takes me back down memory lane when I see the bodies and stuff that came with it still sitting in his garage.
Got out of the sport for a few years, then ended up with an HPI Nitro RS4 Mini (always wanted one of those) and then an HPI Super Nitro RS4. Sold both of those cars a short time after purchasing them (no where to race where I was living at the time).
Had a T-Maxx I bought off eBay, what a piece of garbage that was. Resold it after fixing all of it's issues and problems.
Bought a Warehouse Hobbies Enforcer 46" gas boat. Enjoyed that for a bit, but got tired of finding water leaks in the radio compartment (made for a few interesting moments
)
Found another T-Maxx at a garage sale for $15. Needed some work, but nothing serious. I called it the $50 T-Maxx. Ran it with my buddy who had an HPI Savage. I always enjoyed that my cheap T-Maxx ran better than his $1.000+ Savage. Even ran it into a concrete block at full throttle which ripped the front end off. $10 in parts later, she was running! Sold it on CL to a complete newb who probably blew it up already.
After that, I had an HPI Drift car that was fun for a bit. After not using it and moving it from apt to apt, I decided to sell it.
Damn, I've had allot of R/C stuff! I'm not in the market for another kit, but if something were to come along in a yard sale.....
