Default Report pornographic or otherwise offensive emails?

How do I...?
Report pornographic or otherwise offensive emails?
For example does anyone know an email address I can forward these emails to?
I am getting far too much of this stuff, the last straw was titled "rape express"
this is worse than common garden immorality it's psycho stuff in fact.
I really want to get these people locked up. I saw a discovery channel on this guy who murdered six or seven women in this way. Gave me nightmares, and I don't consider myself squeamish, but it really was seriously sick.

Good luck trying to make them stop. Anyone who sends this stuff in bulk is not going to to listen to "please make it stop". You'll spend an inordinate amount of time reporting it with very little results. Most of the time they use open email relays and spoof the originating address.

The best thing to do is to get a new email address and set up another one at hotmail or yahoo - then whenever you need to give out your email to anyone you don't know (e.g. when registering at a site, shopping, etc.) use that address. Easy to do a mass delete of emails or abandon the address when the crap really starts rolling in.

What I had in mind was some law enforcement department.

I'm actually quite efficient at handling spam, hardy ever opern the stuff, because most of it has a dodgy sender or recipient address.

What might work is notifying the ISP about the email, I am following this line at present.

The email headers are usually falsified so you have very little chance of tracing the perpetrator. Every ISP has an abuse@xxxx.xxxaddress you can complain to.

The quickest way to kill SPAM is change your email address and then never post that address on the Net. Allso kill any generic aliases associated with your domain if you have one, like info@xxx.xxx and webmaster@xxx.xxx.

Here's a few tools if you really want to get into the technicalities. It can be a frustrating experience though.
