1) Talk to his parents.
2) Type up something and send it to his Dean at his school.

Sounds like the best course of action is small claims court. Take pictures of the monitor (if damage is visible), of the stuff he left in the apartment after he was supposed to vacate and get replacement costs for EVERYTHING that he has taken or damaged.

Judge Judy will sort this shit out!

(But beware, I don't think she likes it when plaintiffs use the word 'hella' in her court.)

Brandon, you could possibly do this and because it was done to me... it should work. When I didn't pay my colleague for work compensated (long story), in your case you provided shelter and he didn't pay, you can put a workman's lien either on his property or on his parent's property. The idea here is to put a blemish on their family/personal credit or property so that when they wish to apply for new credit, loan, or sell their home, they will need to clear all liens against them before approval. Until they do, they will either get a really negative rating or not get their property sold. In either case their jacked up like a mofo...

hmmm, a lien is a VERY good idea! Take one on his car and then sell the lien to a third party.

I would take him to court. Odds are he probably won't show and you will win judgement by default. Then put a lien on his paycheck for the money owed.
