Small claims court is there for people who represent yourself, infact I believe you can;t have representation there. But there is a limit of around 2000 or so that you can ask for well at least in california.

hey brandon. when your two old roommates bailed out on the lease, was the lease for your apartment already ending? if not, did your roommates pay the landlord the fees/penalty for breaking the lease? as for their stuff being in your apartment, give both of them 48 hours notice to move their stuff out of your apartment. that is plenty of time to get a plane ticket from wherever they are and show up at your door to move everything out. if they don't, give me a call and i'll help you toss their stuff out to the curb.

as for the damages, let them know that you will be going to court with the matter if they cannot pay you within 7 days. 7 days is a reasonable amount of time for them to get the funds together. during those 7 days speak to a lawyer. if you win the case, you can likely get the judge to transfer the lawyer fees over to them as well.

hey ask your lawyer for another thing..
Im entitled to $10K from a business breach of contract..
The guy who bailed on my investment signed and agreed to pay 10K in damages if he breaches.
Well he is in TX.
I dont have the $$$ right now to chase after him.
So if he is interested let me know
