S2000 vs. SC430
I have seen a few of them on the road.
While it may not be the car for me, I like the interior a lot.
In terms of who it is for, here's a short tale.
I was at the flower show this spring with my wife.
The demographics here tend to be 50 and older and high income.
A demo ML320 was on the floor to entertain the bored guys.
A couple of ladies go past, one says I would not like that, the other says I would not like any SUV, the first says the new Lexus convertible on the other hand (at this point they were both nodding in agreement and smiling).
The Lexus will provide an easy to recognize alternative to an SL with a back seat and reliability.

2x6spds: Looks like a bumper car in an amusement park. It would look right with 12 clowns spilling out of it. Just my opinion.
Maybe it's just the timing of your post but I just got that picture you painted in my mind. I think I hit my head when I fell down laughing.

A bunch of us got a really close-up look at one at the West LA meet. The car doesn't look as good as the S2K, but the interior kicks-ass over our cars. However, like nvmys2k said, the 2 cars are in 2 different categories.
