Today I met the biggest Dumba$$!!! My family and I were headed home. As we passed the local tire shop we happen to see a black s2k on the lift. We decided to turn around and take a look. The man was getting some 20' chrome rims installed. For starters I began to ask myself if this was possible? Probably with a 35 series tires and the correct offset?? Wouldn't rub?? Well we introduced ourselves. His car was brand spankin new. Didn't even have 200 miles on it. . We asked what made him want 20'??? He said he wanted the race car look!! In my opinion chrome does not equal race car look and the performance is lost with the weight of the rims!!! He even told us that he already hit 9000 rpms and hit 117 mph!!! Poor car!! My man and I were already nodding our heads as we seen each rim get put on Once the car was back on the ground, we were thinking his fenders were going to pop off. There was no room between the wheel well and the tire. The tires even suck out which killed the entire look!! I give him credit as far as the chrome on black look but not on the size!!! Being I have small hands, I couldn't even put my index finger inside the almost non exsistent gap!! He actually drove the S out of the garage. There was a loud screech like a little kid scratching a chalkboard. The rubber pretty much hugged the fenders especially in the rear. When he reversed back in I heard a loud clank like as if his front bumper was going to fall off. I guess this man was pretty determined to get some 20's since he was there for 6 hours!!! Boy I've seen it all!! ha ha ha ha!!!

Funny story. Large wheels look good, but it's just not practical on the streets. 18" rims are good enough for me.

Yyyyeah, if there's ever a successor to the S2K, it should be an open-wheeled F1 joy Maybe.
