Check out Trader Joe's: they have a bottling agreement with a bunch of distillers; so, what looks like TJ's could be Glenfiddich.

I'm not a scotch drinker per se (I mostly drink bourbon, but know a good scotch when it goes by my lips), but there's one called Tamdhu that I really liked. Peaty, but well balanced against the caramel/oak.

The Scotch that I love, but haven't had in years is the Glenmorangie sherry-casked.

Is that Black or Blue?
ha ha funny, I thought blue, thats why I made the baller comment. Well if it's black, I'd much rather drink chivas 12 as a daily scotch.

It's funny JW black was really good when I was like 7-8 years old and my uncles used to get me drunk. They'd water it down a little for me, and it's have that nice sweet taste. now in my adult life, I didn't care for jw black too much. I'll give it another shot one of these days. The green is pretty good. not too expensive, and pretty smooth.

Judging by your username, I'm guessing your Indian. If so, we ALL know that our older Indian relatives that drink scotch view JW as THE SCOTCH OF ALL SCOTCHES....heheheh.

For me...it'll be single malts all day long. Screw the blends.

8D,

I'm going to have to check out Tamdhu.

LOL i was just at a party and the same thing crossed my mind......it's THE standard for indians.

black is my daily cuz it's not harsh...it's strong, but not harsh (to me at least).

i find single malts too sweet for everyday drinking.....the reason why i drink scotch in the first palce is because i hate anything sweet.....food, drinks, etc.
